Very Berry Oatmeal

1 cup of old fashioned oats
2 cups of frozen berries
1 tsp of sugar (if desired)
3/4 cup of milk
3/4 cup of water
2 tbsp of lemon juice
1 tsp of chia seeds
1 tsp of flax seeds
Fresh berries to garnish
In a pot, bring water and milk to boil on high heat. Stir in oats and let cook on low-medium heat.
Sautee berries and lemon juice in a pan on medium heat until soft. Strain the oats and place back in pot. Stir in the berries (and the delicious berry juice) and sugar- if desired. Top it off with the chia and flax seeds and fresh berries.
Oatmeal and berry cooking time varies from stove to stove but usually takes 5-10 min.
You can store left over oatmeal for a couple days in the fridge, although the longer you wait the soggier it gets.
This recipe makes about 2- 3 servings
